FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What areas do you service?
Our Face Painters attend Children's Birthday Parties and events in Brisbane, Ipswich, the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast. For areas outside of these travel fees may apply. Please send us an enquiry for more info.
What sort of Face Painting Designs do you do?
Our most popular Face Painting Designs for children can be viewed here. We specialise in Rainbows and Sparkles! We also take requests, no matter how Cheeky your child can be!
What age do the kids have to be? Do you do Toddler Face Painting Parties?
We believe your child's first ever Face Paint is a special one! Our Face Painting artists specialise in fast and colourful designs, and have a number of Face Painting designs suitable for children 2yrs plus.
My child has sensitive skin, can they still get their face painted?
We at Cheeky Faces understand that in the first 4 years of a child’s life their skin is in its most sensitive state. All of our artists will ONLY use professional face and body painting equipment and paints suitable for use on the face and body. Our artists use a combination of TAG, Paradise and Wolfe paints that are all hypo-allergenic with anti-bacterial agents, and are designed specifically for use of the face and skin.
If your child has allergies or has experienced an adverse reaction to previous face paints, we can do a ‘patch test’ which involves painting a small patch of skin on the face, and waiting for up to 15mins to observe any kind of possible skin irritation.
When booking with Cheeky Faces, you are booking a professional artist.
What are your Hygiene standards?
Hygiene is our biggest priority at Cheeky Faces. We use only best practice to ensure that no cross-contamination is likely to be transferred between children as best we can. All of our products including brushes and sponges are deeply sanitised weekly between jobs. We only use professional paints, which have anti-bacterial properties to help stop cross-contamination. Our artists take care to clean their hands and the child's face with a sensitive baby wipe between customers.
Our hygiene practices include;
- One sponge per face policy
- We use two water dishes, one for washing and one for cleansing each brush.
- Water used treated with 'Brush Bath' which sanitizes between strokes
(100% organic, and safe for the face and body)
- Brushes cleaned and sanitized with brush cleaner weekly
- Sponges cleaned, sanitized and washed weekly
- Isocol alcohol is sprayed on paints and brushes after use
We do not face paint any children with signs of gastro, head lice, skin infections, eczema, mouth sores or cold and flu symptoms. We will happily paint children's arms or hands who are showing these symptoms. These restrictions reduce the risk of cross-contamination.
Would you want to risk it?
What sort of paints do you use? Do they come off easily?
Our artists use a combination of TAG, Paradise and Wolfe paints that are all hypo-allergenic with anti-bacterial agents, and are designed specifically for use of the face and skin. All paints we use are water based, which will wash off easily with soapy water or baby wipes. For sensitive skin we recommend using sorbolene cream to assist with easy removal.
